Mr Rawling has been involved in the assessment and rehabilitation of patients sustaining brain injury for all of his professional life. He has held appointments as a clinical psychologist/neuropsychologist at the Spastic Centre of NSW, the Repatriation Hospital Concord, St Vincent's Hospital, Royal South Sydney Rehabiliation Hospital and the Commonwealth Rehabilitation Service. In 1984, Mr Rawling established a private practice in clinical neuropsychology, specialising in the assessment of patients sustaining compensable brain injuries. In this capacity, he has compiled, over the years, a very large number of medico-legal assessment reports and appeared in Court as an expert witness on more than 20 occasions.
He is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society College of Clinical Neuropsychologists, is registered as a specialist in Clinical Neuropsychology with the Psychology Board of Australia and has completed the Assessment courses run by the NSW Motor Accident Authority and WorkCover NSW.
